9 Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit. 10 Put a waste oil container with at least 5 l capacity under the drainage hole. 11 Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Found this on the garage floor. Oil level was ok. In the middle of the dipstick. View attachment 292661. Looked in the engine bay and couldn't really tell where the leak was. Normally have some from the oil cap, but it looked ok. View attachment 292662. Looked under the car and the oil pan is definitely wet. This is the 6-speed DCT that is used by VW. The designation is DSG 02E. People say that the torque capacity on these transmission is around 450 lb ft. The VW Self-Study programme 308 Direct Shift Gearbox 02E states the maximum is 350 Nm which is roughly 260 lb ft. APR has mentioned that slippage occurs at 380 lb ft. The recommended oil under the hood is SAE 0W-30 & VW 504 00 for the 7.5 R. Now for the MK7 from what Ive heard is VW 502. I was going to buy Motul 5w-40 which is VW 502, I have mates which use that in their Mk7 R's. I find it interested that VW switched recommendation to the VW 504 for the 7.5 R. Super low coolant level in my 2018 Mk 7.5 Kinda ranting here. On my way to work this morning I got a "Check Coolant Level" warning light. I pulled over and my coolant level was way below the min. mark. Luckily my oil temps weren't too high and I was able to make it to work. But now I have to go get the Pentosin Pentafrost E to top off my My 2002 vw gti golf 1.8t isn't shifting forward or reversing. But I notice my trans fluid wasn't full and with a Lil burnt scent. And here in the Bahamas there's problem's finding and ordering a transmission filter/screener. So they clean it and put it back in. It worked but it back the same. Think it's the transwer fluid? Please help. Generally oils meeting VW 504/507 00 are only available in either 0W-30 or 5W-30 viscosity, nothing else. I'd suggest BP Visco 7000 0W-40 instead if you don't care for Volkswagen specs, as I BELIEVE it's even better. I'd even add a small amount of Liqui Moly Ceratec or something similar. Hi I went to TPS to order and collect some bits. Currently use Motul Specific 0W20 (VW508) on my 2019 MK7.5 GTI since this is the spec recommended. Lower weight oil does not mean lower quality oil. I would use the spec recommended by VW for your engine code and/or what your tuner recommends if you’re tuned. shadyplz • 3 yr. ago. 5UsaL.
